Tim Francis

Founder

Began trading ice-lolly multi-packs at school before graduating to Lava Lamps and computer peripherals.

Graduated from The University of Edinburgh with a degree in Medicinal Biochemistry before setting up a software business in 2008 that built applications and back-office systems.

Moved into systematic trading in 2010, running books across foreign exchange, futures and commodities, betting exchanges and options.

Away from the markets he has two daughters and a dog, and lists joinery and brewing as his favourite pastimes.

James Shenton

CTO

Began coding on a ZX Spectrum in the early 1980s, which started a lifelong interest in technology and mathematics.

After graduating in Mathematics from Cambridge, he joined a start-up financial services business as its first full-time employee. The group has gone on to become one of the UK’s most successful private businesses, employing thousands of people and reaching a multi-billion-pound valuation.

He later left to found a wealth management and advisory firm, before moving into full-time trading in 2021. Away from markets, he has three daughters and an enduring love of tennis.
